Dr Gary S. Karwoski is the Senior Pastor
here at Cornerstone.
Gary did not grow up in a Christian home. It wasn’t until he was 23 and a graduate from the college of pharmacy that he became a believer in Jesus. He practiced pharmacy for 4 years in Illinois and finished a one-year Bible degree at Moody Bible Institute. He then moved his family to Texas to attend Dallas Theological Seminary where he continued to work in pharmacy for another 6 years while he earned his masters degree in theology. For the last 26 years he has served on pastoral staff at churches in Tennessee, Minnesota and Illinois. He also returned to Dallas to earn his doctoral degree in ministry, focusing on pastoral leadership. He has taught Bible at schools in Ghana, West Africa, Ukraine and at Moody Bible Institute. A guitarist and singer, he also leads our worship team, Stones Cry Out. Gary is married to Carolyn for 40 years. They have three adult children and three grandsons.
